What Do I Wear/Bring To Class?
Comfortable workout gear, comfortable shoes, water bottle, towel, hat and your own mat - your open mind and willingness to lean into challenge.
How do I sign up for a class?
You can sign up for classes through our website or mobile app. Simply create an account, choose your membership, browse the schedule, and book your spot in the desired class.
Can I try a class before committing?
What about nutrition?
BHM includes a bonus Nutrition Resource Library to teach you sustainable ways to fuel your training. No fad diets – our approach works with any eating style and is based on sustainable eating practices.
Are these classes suitable if I am plus sized?

What if I’m new to fitness?
We welcome all fitness levels! Our instructors are trained to accommodate beginners and can modify exercises for special needs. Inform the instructor before class and in your questionnaire so they can provide the best support.
How Soon Can I Join After Having A Baby?
If you are post natal, its important to allow your body some space to recover! You will require a clearance from your GP and I would recommend to start by practicng some core strengthening exercises if cleared. If there have been muscular or medical complications during pregnancy or birth, e.g. Diastasis Recti, a separation between the left and right sides of the rectus abdominis that can occur during pregnancy you may require futher 1:1 coaching with an allied health professional - you will require clearance.
Can I Join If I Have A Back / Knee Injury?
For all acute and chronic spinal injuries, including disc bulges and herniation and recent spine surgery you will require a clearance from an allied health professional.

Can I Attend When I’m Pregnant?
Kirsti is a certified pre & post natal coach through AusActive. If you have previous training experience you are welcome to attend, on the provisions you listen to Kirsti as your coach as there are modifications for women who are pregnant. Please reach out first before signing up.
What Do I Do When I Arrive At Class?
Please arrive 10 minutes early so Kirsti can check you in. Look for the Balanced Health Method sign! For first timers, check out the tab on what to do in your first week. Regular crew, come in, say g'day and get ready for the best hour of your day!
I Have Sciatic Nerve Pain, Can I Join?
Sciatica is a common condition of skeletal or muscular compression of the sciatic nerve that runs down the buttock and back of the leg, resulting in pain and/or numbness.
In cases of acute sciatica BHM Fitness Activities is contraindicated
unless specified by a medical practitioner.
All students with recurring sciatica are advised to get medical clearance/guidance to attend classes.
I Have Arthritis, Can I Join?
Osteoarthritis is an inflammation of the joints, usually showing up in one or more joints, and we will all experience
some arthritic change with age.
Physical activity and exercise is extremely important for managing an arthritis condition. It can improve mobility and flexibility of joints, muscle strength posture, and balance. It can also decrease pain, fatigue (tiredness), muscle tension and stress.
We recommend to seek medical clearance first.
I Have Osteoporosis, Can I Join?
Osteoporosis is a condition of weakening of the bones.
As boney changes advance this can create risk of injury, particularly in flexion and rotation, and in weight bearing on the
hands and neck.
If osteoporosis is diagnosed, you will require a medical clearance.
What Happens To My Payments If I Go On Holiday?
If you’re taking a holiday, you can pause your payments for up to 4 weeks per year. Simply let us know in advance, and we’ll take care of the rest! There is a guide under our app how to do this when you sign up.
What breaks do we have in the year?
Kirsti each year takes 2 weeks off over Christmas / New Year to rest & recharge.
During each school holiday period, there is one week no workouts - these are advised in advance.
No payments are taken in this time.
Are there any age restrictions for classes?
Currently 18 years plus! There will be dedicated 18 years and under in future.
